Being the youngest son in a family that loves music, Ramy Ayach’s first interest in music started in his hometown of Baakleen in the beautiful mountains of Lebanon. Ramy is the youngest sibling to two older brothers. It is well known that their parents used to buy musical instruments for their sons as gifts on birthdays and holidays.In January 1996, at the age of 16, Ayach decided to participate in the most popular Arabic Television talent competition called, “Studio El Fan”. Hundreds of people tried out for the opportunity to be a finalist on the show, and Ayach impressed the judging committee from the beginning landing him a spot in the finals. From the first appearance on stage, his talent charmed the audience. Ayach earned first place and the gold medal from the judging committee launching him into his career.
Ramy’s first song “Bghanneela” became a hit even before the contest was over. This hit track spent eight weeks at the top of the national and International Arabic airplay charts, and it earned Ramy a nomination for Best Song in 1997.
